If you can’t find a template that meets your requirements, GuiLink can develop a custom interface design that matches your tastes.

We will begin by acquiring the control system functionality from the system integrators to get a full understanding about what will be controlled via the touch panel interface. The level of gathered detail must reflect the exact functionality as specified by the client. This ensures that all functionality is in writing and all parties understand what is expected of the system.

The next step is defining what colors you like and what style of design will best complement your home or building. Photos and site visits to the building will help form a sense of style from which ideas will flow. From there we can gather ideas such as button shapes and styles that interest you by comparing available template designs to determine what you like and dislike about certain designs.

Once we have a good idea of how you want your unique interface to look and function, GuiLink will go away and develop three core interface designs that will demonstrate the look and feel of all elements within the design such as buttons, gauges and text displays. You must then approve one of the core designs and list any changes or requests that you may have.

GuiLink will take these requests (if any) and create a final core design and quote which will then be signed off before any further progress can take place.

Once a design and quote has been signed off, GuiLink will create the interface design to meet the control system functionality gathered from the initial stages of consultation. Any changes made to functionality of the system after sign off that affect the interface design will result in additional charges.

Once the interface is complete, the final sign off stage will be completed by running through the functionality of the template to ensure it meets the control system requirements. The source touch panel files will then be handed over to the control system programmer who will be responsible for integrating the interface design with the control system.
